Hello MMUN-ers! Many of you have already started the process of preparing for MMUN2017. You have joined local clubs in your communities, applied for some advanced positions, and are looking forward to all the amazing things the next 6 months or so will hold.
A few of you even applied to be the Secretary General! It was a tough decision but the MMUN team has finally decided on who will be the Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General for MMUN2017. Below is some information they wrote about themselves:
Marko Tomoski
Secretary General
I am a student of Political Science in English, majoring in Diplomacy and International Relations at the state university “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje. I live in Tetovo and I do a variety of volunteer work in the realm of youth education and personal development, both locally and nation-wide.
Macedonian Model United Nations was my entry into the world of non-formal education and volunteering. It empowered me to reach out of my comfort zone and be the master of my own self development, as well as expand my social network. From there, I have attended a myriad of different projects around the Balkans and beyond as both participant and facilitator, with organizations such as the Council of Europe, Erasmus+ and the YMCA.
In my spare time, I enjoy cycling, hiking across Shar Planina, watching movies and shows, playing video games, videography, writing boring academic papers and overanalyzing things in general.
Sofija Spasenoska
Deputy Secretary General
Hello, I am Sofija Spasenoska, currently I am a junior in the NOVA High School and I will be the Deputy Secretary General of MMUN 2017. I have been part of MMUN for two years now and I loved the experience, so I am thrilled to have the honor to help organize the biggest conference in Macedonia. Since I love MUN so much this year I was one of the two co-founders of MUN in my High School (NMUN) on which I am a co-president now. Apart from school and MUN I like traveling and playing sports such as basketball.
